Shiver and say the words

Carre Otis, hair casually over face, with a wonderful shade of Dior lipstick, and prepped by Kevyn Aucoin.

An UTM model dressed in a Norma Kamali dress, that is no doubt lovely, but overshadowed by a feathery, embroidered loveliness in the form of a horse jacket made by Bob Mackie.

A Bally ad again, so tremendous.

A Yohji Yamamoto ad of great beauty.

Bring on the red lips

Jane Birkin, looking particularly delectable, even for her - with red lips contrasted perfectly by her blue satin blouse - photographed by Schmid in 1975.

Beautiful textures and colors.

A cute little cover by Donovan.

Model staying by the radiator.

Who's the furriest of them all

Some fake furs from 1971, shot by Chris von Wangenheim.

If you want to climb a mountain, do it this way.

A Frida Gustavsson look-alike in 70s beige and a cape.

Regard fixe

Yes, a piercing gaze is the best accessory, isn't it? Glorious shot taken by a photographer I haven't heard too much about - Sackmann. You might think that the styling was imperfect since the model's bangs are so uneven - this kind of thing happens to those of us who have a swirl in an unfortunate place - but personally, I think it just adds to the appeal.

A photograph that provides the perfect antidote for the superfocused stare above - Angelica Huston shot by Bob Richardson for Dior. Now, that's chilling.

Gunilla Lindblad wears YSL rive gauche. Pretty smashing...

T-straps and lashes

These T-straps are just so enchanting. Bally, of course, some of the best shoe ads the world has ever seen.

An ad for Salon du Pret a Porter....wonderful lashes.

This could very well be Bebe Buell, one of the most promising models of the early 70s. She, instead, devoted her life to punk rock and her daughter, Liv Tyler. She could have been one of the best models, I think, she photographed so well. Anyway, I'm not even 100% it's her in this Wella ad.

One of the few great editorial shots found in this magazines. The coat is by Kay Cosserat.
